Just had mine updated to 02.00.06 and I think that there is nowa V2L switch/toggle in the New Energy settings. It’s grayed out but maybe, rather than a 3pin in the boot, it needs an adapter for the EV Charging socket. Obviously I’m not sure but hope the above is useful

This is a good tip. I did find this out beforehand though. Probably some YouTube video. What I have also found though, is that when customising the top-right pull down quick actions, there is a button ‘hidden’, that can draw in both wing mirrors. You can drag it up to be one of your quick actions. It is very useful in a ‘squeeze’, but you have to be going below (probably) 6mph before it works, and when you know you’re in approaching a ‘squeeze’ it’s still not very quick to find and press. A bit annoying but better than nothing.

I had to go out to try this. Great find!!

Ahh. i was just doing a different post about having had mine updated from 02.00.03 to 02.00.06. My local dealership did it. All good, except for what you describe here. Exactly the same I believe. Those two buttons are in German for me. I’ve told them and they now see it on each car they update. It was definitely not a problem on 02.00.03, so you must be on 02.00.06. Jaecoo have told them they are working on fixing it.
I could be making this bit up, but I am sure that I heard that Jaecoo get the cars ready for the EU, by working on it at some facility in Germany. Some part of the S/W might have been adjusted for the EU from there and they forgot to tell those buttons to adapt to the language/region settings.

I’ve had mine since about May I think. Pleased with mine. I mainly drive locally but work around 40 miles away, 2 days a week. I keep it charged up each night and on a full charge can get around 56miles on it, before I’m down to about 20% and the ICE takes over and starts to regen the battery. Probably doing the SHS thing. I seem to get away with only filling up with petrol once every 6 weeks. When I do, my Petrol rnage says 694 miles. It’s probably not 100% accurate in real life but can’t be too far off.

As far as I know, dealerships are currently the only ones able to install S/W updates. Nothing is coming via OTA, that I know of. I had mine in, a couple of weeks ago, to get the latest. I was on 2.00.03 and had heard about the 2.00.12 being released, but when I got mine back, they had only put the 2.00.06 on.
No massive changes. Some of which are:
- Previously, when you indicate and turn left or right, you get a full screen surround view take up the whole centre display. With the update, they have that in a smaller sized window that you can move around and close, so doesn’t take up the whole screen.
- I’d say the ‘bing bongs’ do sound like the’ve been toned down. Still there but quieter I think.
- New Karaoke app on the Home Screen.
- I think you can have a 3rd Seat Position/Configuration saved now.
- On the New Energy page I think I’m seeing a V2L option now, but is greyed out. Maybe you have to have stopped and have something plugged in to activate it??
- Possibly improved the Android/Apple Connectivity.
- I haven’t used the native maps app but think I heard that might have been improved with respect to charging points.
- It does leave you with a couple of buttons on the Air Con screens that are now written in German. For me, everything else is in English. You can still use the buttons. It’s not terrible but definitely not right. Dealership hadn’t noticed but confirmed that other cars they had updated after mine were doing the same. They have raised it with Jaecoo, and they think they are hearing that a fix will be out soon. We’ll have to see how long it takes.
- Probably some other minor bits
Not sure about any DAB Radio improvement. Feel that is still some ‘module’ they need to fit. Have to see.
I have the PHEV and still don’t see any actual difference between EV and HEV modes. Mine always uses the battery all the way down to sometimes 16% and only then will the ICE kick-in. It’ll then do a mix and use the ICE and regen to bring the battery back up a bit. I’ve been expecting the Super Hybrid System (SHS) to be more prominent, especially on HEV with a full battery, but no matter what speed I do, it still just uses the battery. Maybe the SHS is only when you’re below 25% battery, but I really can’t see the sense in even having an HEV mode if it acts like an EV all the way down to 25%. I might be wrong, but after explaining it to Jaecoo, I feel they are telling me that in HEV with a full battery and driving at (for example) 60mph, it should be using the ICE due to the SHS. They then advised that a S/W update might resolve it. I seem to be getting told conflicting things though so who know.
Hope the above helps Richard
