    Hello fellow Jaecoo owners (nearly) We pick our 7 up in a few weeks time and doing our research see a lot of talk levelled at the iphone app Omoda Jaecoo with some people saying its a waste of time and others saying there are better apps out there - Anyone had any experience of whether its a good one or not please.     I use my iPhone Jaecoo app all the time (scheduling charging, defrosting the windscreen/the car from the comfort of my living room on frosty mornings) looking up the next day’s destination on the map (works like google maps) and remotely sending the destination to the inbuilt Nav system. I’ve never had an issue with it.

        For everyone wanting their J7 to stay in SMART mode all the time and not have to select every time you start car try the following. For me it stays in smart even after turning off and restarting car.

        Select New Energy

        Go to Power saving mode

        Tap Forced

        Toggle forced power saving mode on

        Tap Smart

        Power off car then restart car

        Hope it works for you.

        There is a way around this now, mine stays on smart all the time. ie. Get in it in the morning and just drive off. I’ll post the instructions on here tomorrow. You do have to have the 06 update installed by the dealer first though.

        Hi mate, that’s a common thing and it is operator error. Your foot won’t be pushed hard enough on the brake when you select reverse on the stalk. Easy done, I still do it sometimes. You’ll get the hang of it 👍

          I’ve not experienced this at all, the remote has been working well. I have though disabled the proximity function (got sick of it popping the handles out whenever I accidentally walked too close to the car at work) so maybe that is making a difference. Quite happy to actually push a button when I want the doors to unlock.

            I\'ve owned my J7 SHS since the first week in July and have had to replace the remote battery already, anyone else getting short remote battery life? Or any tips to increase the battery life would be welcome.

            I have had the PHEV model since the 02nd Sept and I’m very happy with it and despite being sceptical about hybrid vehicles in general i have to admit it’s saved me quite a bit of money.

            Mine has done it once but it was because it picked up the flash of the red rear light on the back of a pushbike which was flashing, I assume the car thought it was a vehicles brake lights coming on right in front of me.

            Hi Sarah, I’ve had mine 2 weeks and I’ve done nothing but use the P button on the stalk when I stop and park, the parking brake has always worked and you can hear it deploy so, carry on as you are would be my personal advice.
