Is the PHEV worth the extra cost compared to the standard model?
I need some advice. I’m torn between getting a standard Jaecoo or going for the PHEV version. The PHEV is obviously more expensive upfront, but is it genuinely worth the extra cash?
For those who already have the PHEV, are you actually saving much on fuel, or does the higher price cancel that out? Also, how’s the driving experience — is it more fun, smoother, or just… meh?
I’ve seen mixed reviews about charging times and battery life, too. Would love to hear from anyone who’s been living with one for a while! Help a fellow indecisive out. 😅

I don’t see the point of purchasing a supposedly offroad vehicle in 2 wheel drive. I went for AWD luxury model and is fantastic even though slightly heavier on fuel.

All I would say is – if “economy” is your primary driver, then it’s a simple decision (SHS/PHEV). If not, why would you not sacrifice a little MPG and have this beauty in AWD? Whilst it’s not “massive” on MPG – it’s by no means a “guzzler”. Of course, it all depends on personal preference/driving style/budget…….etc.
Either way, I’m sure you won’t regret owning either model.

How many people actually take these off-road. Or any AWD vehicle for that Matter , (I’m referring to the British market). It’s the economy that’s needed especially with the amount of vehicles on UK roads.
