I looked at a jaecoo j7 fwd yesterday and in the boot was a plastic shelf that was lower than the boot opening. This was ideal for my large dog but I wanted to check out the AWD as I need this capability. The boot however had a flat boot level. The sales assistant couldn’t help but can anyone advise if the boot level on the AWD can be dropped like the FWD (I noticed the rails but it had a lot of plastic and extras in the boot space than the FWD so I couldn’t check this in the garage

Hi Chris, I have an AWD and below the boot floor is the spare wheel, jack and tools – so there is no way to lower the boot floor. That said, the wheel can be removed and the tools sit inside a removable lightweight carrier – take those out and you’re down to the car floorpan. So, if you needed a deeper boot in an emergency – I guess it can be done – just don’t get a puncture! 🙂

    Hope this helps.
