Hey everyone! I’ve had my Jaecoo J7 for about a month now, and I thought I’d share my experience so far in case anyone is considering getting one.

    The Good Stuff:

•Styling: Honestly, this car turns heads! The bold front grille and sleek LED lights make it look way more premium than its price tag. I’ve had people ask me what car it is — they’re usually surprised when I say “Jaecoo.”
•Interior: The cabin is impressive. The materials feel solid, and I love the digital dashboard. The infotainment system is responsive, and Apple CarPlay works smoothly. The panoramic sunroof is a nice touch too!
•Comfort: The seats are super comfortable for long drives. There’s plenty of legroom in the back, so my friends never complain.
•Performance: It’s got a good amount of power. I was a bit skeptical about the turbo engine, but it’s pretty quick and holds up well on the motorway.

    A Few Downsides:
•Infotainment Quirks: The infotainment system can be a bit glitchy at times. Occasionally, it takes a while to connect my phone.
•Availability of Parts: Since it’s not as common as some other brands, getting parts might take a bit longer. I’m hoping that improves as the brand grows.

    Would I Recommend It?
Absolutely! For the price, it feels like a bargain. If you want something unique that stands out and offers solid features, the Jaecoo J7 is worth considering. Just make sure you have a good dealer nearby for maintenance and support.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>I purchased the AWD luxury model and is a fantastic bit of kit for your money.</p>
I can fully agree with #Bradley with regard to comments.

Only issue I have is the info system does not seem to save your choice of input for e.g. lane departure, seat position for 2 drivers, speed warning. The user manual isn’t very clear. Would love to hear from anyone with the same issue?

You are correct Michael, but I think that’s more to do with legislation than quirkiness. If you choose to temporarily disable a driver aid – it’s a personal intervention which overrides the required feature. I personally like that it’s a simple swipe down and tap to disable most of these driver aids.

On the passenger seat settings point – I’m sure this is because the passenger in a car can frequently change, as opposed to the driver, who is a (kinda) permanent fixture! 🙂

I further concur with the previous comments that this car is a proper “looker”. I get adults and kids glaring and pointing at my car regularly – maybe that’ll fade when there’s more of them on the roads. In the end, no car is “perfect” (including this one), but it sure is a very nice car and HUGE value-for-money. I’ll live with it’s quirks and learn as I go 🙂
